$0-$10,000 in 30 Days TikTok Creativity Program (UPDATE)

People & Blogs

Introduction

Day One: The Journey Begins

This is day 208 of my journey to make $ 10,000 on TikTok in 30 days. I’ve been uploading content and documenting my progress along the way. Here, I’ll share some insights about my experiences, what I've learned, and how the TikTok algorithm works with new accounts.

Initial Struggles

When I first started uploading videos, I realized that none of them immediately gained traction. While some creators see their videos explode in views, that wasn’t the case for me. My first video only garnered about 200 views, and the next four videos managed to get around 500 views each. This was a clear indication that TikTok was in the process of verifying my account.

During the verification phase, TikTok provides a base view count—generally between 200 to 500 views—as they assess the niche of your content. This process typically lasts about 24 hours. After the verification, things started to improve. My views increased to around 1,000 for my next video. Though it may not seem impressive, it marked a positive turning point for my presence on the platform.

The Importance of Consistency

It's vital to stay consistent with posting content. Some videos that I thought might go viral actually flopped, while others I considered mediocre gained much more attention. For instance, a particular video started gaining traction days after being posted, eventually racking up 300K views.

The more content you produce, the higher your chances are of finding out what resonates with your audience. I noticed that videos that performed well often began gaining views incrementally rather than exploding immediately. This means that viral potential often lays dormant for days before being recognized by the algorithm.

Re-uploading Content

If you’ve had videos that achieved zero views, consider re-uploading them after making some edits. Change the sound or add effects to make it feel fresh and original. By doing this, TikTok may treat it as a new video, allowing you to attract views you might have missed the first time.

Current Results

As of now, the account stands at 1,000 followers. Despite the slow start, I’m committed to posting consistently, aiming to reach the $ 10,000 mark by the end of this challenge. I’m considering extending this challenge to the end of July to allow for more time to grow.
