Accidentally Making AI VOICES Sound BROKEN (Loud Sound Warning)

Comedy

Introduction

Today, my friend Chris and I embarked on an unexpected adventure with AI-generated voices, specifically using 11 Labs—a popular AI text-to-speech software. We wanted to see how far we could push it before it broke, and to our surprise, we uncovered some wildly entertaining results. Here's how it went down.

How It Works

11 Labs has a feature that allows you to input audio clips, which it then attempts to recreate using an AI voice. For instance, when we fed it a simple phrase like, “Who’s fing cat is this?” the output was a confusing but hilarious rendition of the original. The AI seemed to struggle, resulting in phrases like, “Who [__] cat is this?” that sounded both bizarre and amusing.

The Results Were Hilarious

Our experimentation took us through various classic songs and lines from cartoons. Trying phrases from “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” generated responses that left us laughing uncontrollably. The AI's attempt at singing was eerie yet captivating, distorting familiar melodies to create something new and absurd. Unfortunate lyrics like, “my God, you possess at the end” were so delightfully out of context that they sent us into fits of laughter.

We ventured even deeper, attempting to recreate the theme from "Fairly OddParents" and eliciting nonsensical phrases such as, “he h like aing cat dude.” Amid the silliness, there were moments where the AI sounded grotesquely broken, which somehow made it even funnier.

As our experiments continued, we navigated through the likes of DJ remixes and experimental music that resulted in sounds reminiscent of a family of cavemen singing. Other bizarre outputs included references to food, the dramatic sound of fart noises, and increasingly nonsensical lyrics.

Towards the end, we decided to challenge the AI with “Am I a Man or Am I a Muppet,” which led to many entertaining attempts that included lines about being beamed up by aliens. Our AI recreation infiltrated every genre, making our nightly escapades seem like an elite comedy show.

We ended up with glitches and sound drops that felt like chaotic pieces of an avant-garde soundtrack, proving that even AI has its limits. Each attempt showcased the machine's struggle to maintain coherence, ultimately giving us a series of broken yet utterly amusing auditory experiences.
