Introduction

Starting with a New Design
To kick things off, launch MatterControl and click on the Start New Design button. Upon entering the design workspace, the platform loads a default object on the bed. Let's remove that object, as we will be replacing it with our custom design.

One of the most exciting features is the ability to add an outline that follows the shape of your object. This can also be customized by adjusting the width and height of the outline.
Saving the Final Design
After finalizing the design adjustments, it's time to save your masterpiece. You can save the model directly to your hard drive, making it easy to upload to other services, share via email, or send to a 3D printer. For this example, we'll save it to the desktop as "LEGO Guy".
