Durable AI Tutorial | How to Use Durable for CRM, Invoicing and AI Assistant Features

Education

Introduction

As a small business owner, managing customer relationships and invoicing can become overwhelming. Fortunately, Durable provides a suite of AI tools to streamline these processes. This tutorial will focus on using Durable for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and invoicing. Durable offers a range of products including an AI website builder, CRM tools, invoicing, AI assistant, and an AI blog builder.

Setting Up Durable

To begin utilizing the CRM tools on Durable, you'll need to sign in and create your website. If you haven't done this yet, go ahead and create your website on Durable. For this tutorial, I will sign into my existing account where my website, "Clockwork Translation," is already set up.

Once signed in, you'll see the homepage featuring various tools on Durable. The left-side menu provides access to your website, marketing tools, CRM tools, and invoicing tools.

Exploring CRM Tools

To dive into the CRM features, click on the prompt asking if you want to track all your customers. This redirects you to the CRM dashboard, where you can import contacts, add them manually, or sync your email accounts such as Gmail.

If you're on a free plan, you won't have access to import contacts directly; you'll have to input contacts manually by clicking the "Add Contact" button. A popup will appear where you can input the customer's details, including name, email, phone number, company, and additional fields such as the source of the contact or customer classification (e.g., new or lead).

After entering all the necessary information, click "Save." Your customer details will now show in the CRM tools dashboard, allowing for easy access.

Managing Customer Information

The CRM dashboard displays several columns like name, email, new messages, phone, and source. You can customize these columns as needed by clicking the gear symbol and adjusting the settings. Adding new custom fields is also straightforward; simply click the "Add New Field" button to create fields that suit your business needs.

To view a customer's profile and all relevant details, click the three dots next to their name. This opens their profile, where you can see recent invoices, notes, and messages. It also allows for profile edits.

Syncing Email and Automation

To sync your email for additional features such as auto-replies, you'll need to subscribe to a paid plan. Unfortunately, this feature isn’t available on the free plan.

Invoicing with Durable

Navigating to the invoicing section, you will find options to create and manage invoices. Start by clicking on "Invoice Items" and then "Create an Item." You can define the item name (e.g., "One Page Translation"), provide a brief description, and classify the invoice type (by item or hourly) along with pricing.

Once you've saved the invoice item, you can create an invoice for a customer by clicking the three dots next to the invoice name. Choose a customer, modify invoice details, set payment terms, and input tax percentages. Durable will automatically calculate the tax based on your input.

Utilizing the AI Assistant

At the top of the Durable dashboard, you'll find an icon for the AI assistant. Clicking it allows you to interact with an AI that can answer questions or assist with tasks. For instance, asking where to set default tax rates will redirect you to the correct settings page.

Pricing Plans

Durable's paid plans offer additional features that enhance the CRM and invoicing experience. Pricing details can be found on Durable's website, and you can pause the video or refer to the site for specifics.
