Fliki AI Review and Walkthrough (Better than InVideo)
Education
Introduction
Fliki AI has been on my list of tools to review and try out for quite some time. I believe I have been subconsciously putting it off due to my not-so-great experience with InVideo. In previous videos, I mentioned some of the challenges I faced with InVideo and my overall dissatisfaction with it despite its time-saving potential for stock clips and similar tasks. Thus, I was curious to see how Fliki compares given that it functions in a similar space to InVideo but employs different methods.
Upon logging into Fliki, the very first thing I did was switch to dark mode—because let’s be honest, why would anyone work in light mode if dark mode is an option? This is my files page, where each project in Fliki is called a "file." The samples you see here were provided by the system and can serve as great references when you want to get started on your own projects.
To create a new project, simply click on the hot pink button labeled "New File." By default, the video option is selected, but you can also create voiceovers or designs such as images and thumbnails. You must give your project a name, select a language, and choose the desired aspect ratio—whether it’s for vertical videos like TikTok and YouTube Shorts, square, or traditional landscape.
You have choices for starting your project as well; you can create from an empty file, start with a prompt or idea (like wanting to make a short video about the moon landing), or even import scripts from blog posts, PowerPoints, tweets, or product URLs (supporting Amazon and Airbnb at this time). In my case, I started with a prompt: “a fun video about cat facts.” You even have the option to set a maximum duration for the video, specifying whether you want videos or images as your media assets.
After hitting the submit button, my video was ready in about a minute and a half. The script it generated was informative and fun, covering intriguing cat facts. While I initially joked about making millions with this video, the reality is that editing is crucial for creating engaging content.
The interface on the left displays each scene of the video, with options to edit voiceovers, images, shapes, and more. You can click on a scene card and adjust properties like background audio volume and speed, or even choose from their wide array of available music tracks. If you wish, you can even have the AI generate new background audio or voiceovers using a variety of character voices available within Fliki, which you can customize by language and style.
Moreover, Fliki allows for editing subtitled content and tweaking the visuals to enhance engagement. The animations for images or videos can also be adjusted, with various effects like fades or slides for smoother transitions.
The ability to generate new AI media directly within the project is particularly impressive, enabling you to create assets without needing to switch between different tools. It’s also noteworthy that once you complete your video, you can easily download it wrapped up in a finished export, and the system tokens are only consumed upon successful exports.
Regarding pricing, Fliki offers a free tier with 5 minutes of credits monthly, which is good for trial purposes, while the standard plan adds up to 180 minutes and various voice options without watermarks. Premium provides even more features, like advanced voice cloning and additional credits.
In summation, I’ve been impressed with Fliki’s functionality and ease of use; it has addressed many of the concerns I had with other tools. While it won't produce a perfect video ready for publication without any adjustments, it certainly simplifies much of the process and provides a range of features to enhance your content. If you’re in search of a video creation tool, I strongly recommend giving Fliki a try.
