How I Make Faceless YouTube Videos in 10 Minutes with AI (Free)

Education

Introduction

Last year, I embarked on an experiment where I aimed to create a YouTube channel entirely driven by Fiverr gigs. Every aspect—from thumbnails and video editing to scripts and voiceovers—was sourced from Fiverr. Fast forward, and I’m here to update you on this venture. As it stands, my channel has accumulated a commendable 26,000 views and over 400 hours of watch time, with our most recent video garnering 900 views, making it our best-performing video yet. To put things into perspective, I have released just 24 videos on the channel.

However, there was a significant issue: the expenses were mounting rapidly, and I was earning nothing in return. Fortunately, over the last few months, this challenge has evolved thanks to emerging AI tools supporting various components of video creation. Today, I will show you how to create an entire YouTube video in approximately 15 minutes, mostly for free, utilizing these artificial intelligence tools.

Getting Started with AI Tools

Before we delve into the specifics, there are two critical points to consider with AI tools:

  1. Communication: Knowing how to articulate your requests is crucial. Even if you understand the capabilities of an AI tool, if your instructions are unclear, the output will not meet your expectations. Therefore, I’ll discuss effective language to communicate with AI efficiently.

  2. App Selection: For this project, we will employ ChatGPT and a tool called VidIQ, which essentially provides a specialized version of ChatGPT tailored for YouTube.

Ideation with VidIQ

To kick off, we’ll utilize VidIQ for brainstorming video ideas. Simply sign up on VidIQ, navigate to the AI coach, and request “Give me five video ideas about...” For my channel focused on job hacks, I’ll input “getting a job” and receive a selection of five ideas, which include topics from resumes to networking.

Once I have my idea, I can further refine my video title. VidIQ has a function to enhance your title, which will provide several title suggestions. I’ll choose something like “Step-by-step Guide to Crafting the Perfect Resume” as my title.

Scriptwriting with ChatGPT

Next, we need to script our video using ChatGPT, as it tends to generate longer scripts. I’ll prompt it by requesting a “1,000-word script for a YouTube video on 12 techniques for crafting the perfect resume.” If I require more detail, I’ll keep responding until I’m satisfied with the length and content quality, giving prompts to refine areas that need enhancement.

Making the Video

With the script in hand, it’s time to create the video. I’ll use a tool called InVideo, which offers a free plan suitable for our needs. After logging in, I’ll select “Create New” and opt for the editor.

  1. Creating a Placeholder: I’ll add a placeholder image and adjust its length to match my anticipated video duration, typically around six to eight minutes.

  2. Voiceovers: I can either record my voice using an external mic or opt for InVideo’s text-to-speech feature. I prefer recording my voice to add a personal touch.

  3. Adding Footage: InVideo provides extensive stock footage. I can search for relevant clips, select them, and add them to my timeline as I narrate my script.

  4. Text Overlays: I’ll also want to add text overlays at each significant point in my video. InVideo allows easy customization for text animations and formats to ensure a cohesive look.

  5. Background Music: Background music helps set the mood. InVideo has numerous music tracks to choose from, and I can adjust the volume to ensure it complements the narration without overpowering it.

Finalizing the Video

After assembling footage, voiceovers, and text, I can produce a polished video similar to what I’d previously paid hundreds for on Fiverr. Now, I need to focus on two final elements: the thumbnail and description.

For the thumbnail, I’ll turn to MidJourney, an AI image generation tool. After crafting a detailed prompt, I can request an image suited to my video's theme and download the results. Simultaneously, I can ask VidIQ to generate a brief description for my video.

Now that I have my final video, thumbnail, and description, I’m ready to upload and watch the views roll in! Creating a faceless channel has never been cheaper or easier. With the potential of AI, 2023 is shaping up to be an exciting year for YouTube content creators.
