Introduction
Hello everyone! My name is Josh, and I'm the co-founder and CEO of HeyGen. I am thrilled to share some exciting updates with you regarding our journey over the last nine months since our launch.
In this short time, we have achieved remarkable milestones together, with more than 2 million videos generated on our platform. We have shipped 32 versions with over 100 features added to our product. Our diverse user community includes professionals in marketing, sales, personalized messaging, learning and development, and more.
Since our inception two years ago, the HeyGen family has expanded to an incredible team of 30 people working across the globe. The story of HeyGen began when my co-founder and I met at school. After graduation, we both spent almost 10 years in the video content creation industry. We participated in the transition from desktop to mobile content, driven largely by advancements in mobile camera technology since 2012.
At HeyGen, our vision is to transform the landscape of visual storytelling by replacing traditional cameras with AI-generated content. We originally started as a tool for creating spokesperson videos, and with recent advancements in AI, our vision is now closer than ever.
Today, I am excited to announce our rebranding as HeyGen, which encompasses not just avatars, but the entire end-to-end video creation process. The term "agent" represents a simple and easy way to create content, and I like to think of it as an assistant that co-creates with you.
