THIS AI Automation Lets You Repurpose Youtube Videos Into Social Media Posts!

Education

Introduction

One of the most popular and effective content marketing strategies available today is what's called the Repurpose Multiplier Strategy. This strategy allows you to create one long piece of content, such as a blog post or a YouTube video, and then repurpose it across all your social media platforms. Essentially, you do the work once and receive content for every channel.

In this article, I will guide you through setting up an automation to streamline this process, specifically by taking your latest YouTube video, obtaining its transcript, and converting that content into social media posts. Let’s get started!

Step 1: Get Started with Make.com

To begin, navigate to make.com, an automation tool that requires no coding experience. After registering for a free account, click on “Create a new scenario.” This will lead you to a blank canvas, where you can drag and drop modules to set up your automation visually.

If you want to delve deeper into AI and automation techniques, consider signing up for my free course mentioned below.

Step 2: Trigger New YouTube Videos

For our automation trigger, search for “YouTube” and select the trigger titled “Watch a video in a channel.” This will enable the automation to detect when a new video is uploaded to your chosen channel and automatically create posts from it.

Once you select YouTube, you'll need to connect your YouTube account. Simply click "Sign in with Google," enter your credentials, and you’re set!

In the module fields, fill in the mandatory fields indicated in bold, such as your Channel ID. Use the ID Helper by entering your handle to find your Channel ID quickly. After you set a limit of one video to be pulled each time, specify the start date for retrieving videos.

Step 3: Scrape the YouTube Transcript

To convert the YouTube video into social media posts, the next step involves extracting the video’s transcript. This can be done using an external tool called Amplify, which you can access in the Make.com marketplace.

Search for the Amplify module to select "Run an actor." Then, sign up for an Amplify account, which provides five dollars of credit for testing. Locate a suitable YouTube transcript scraper and connect it to your Make.com account by providing your API token.

Next, specify the input JSON format required by the YouTube transcript scraper, replacing the static video ID with the dynamic one obtained previously. With the transcript extraction set up correctly, it’s time to move to the next step.

Step 4: Access the Extracted Transcript

So now that we have obtained the transcript, we can format it for our social media posts. To do this, we will use the HTTP module to make a request to the Amplify website and retrieve our transcript data using the dataset ID.

After saving and running this module, you’ll be able to access the transcript of your latest YouTube video.

Step 5: Transform the Transcript into Social Media Posts

With the transcript ready, the next phase involves transforming it into social media posts for platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram. This requires setting up a router in your Make.com scenario, allowing you to create multiple posts simultaneously.

Use OpenAI or any preferred language model to generate the posts. Connect the OpenAI module, input your API key, and utilize a prompt that instructs the AI to produce engaging content based on the transcript and video link.

Be sure to create posts tailored to each social media platform, taking into consideration their unique audiences.

Step 6: Automate the Posting Process

Lastly, automate the posting process to ensure your newly created posts are automatically shared on your chosen social media platforms. Make sure to connect authentication credentials for each social media platform and select the message content you previously developed.

If desired, you can set up notifications to review posts before they go live or automate the process entirely.

Conclusion

Now that you have a complete automation system, the task of repurposing your YouTube videos into engaging social media posts is incredibly streamlined. This setup not only maximizes your content's reach but also saves valuable time in your content creation strategy.
