Hello, everyone! We're excited to announce that we’re back—honey, we’re home after what feels like an eternity. Time has certainly changed us; I look different, yet the same, while you remain an ageless wonder! Our home is transformed, our lives have shifted in many positive ways, and we can't wait to catch you up on everything.
With the holiday season upon us, we genuinely miss creating little time capsules of our family, so we’re kicking things off in style this year with some festive mischief. If you’ve missed us, know that we’ve missed you too, and we hope you enjoy this delightful adventure as much as we do!
The Grinch is Coming!
To begin our Christmas shenanigans, we decided to prepare for a certain visitor who only shows up once a year—the Grinch! With our kids growing older, we need to be more creative to ensure this mischievous character doesn’t escape unnoticed. Our plan is to set up a camera outside to capture the Grinch’s antics, especially since Josh seems to magically disappear whenever the Grinch is around.
The Equipment
To ensure we catch all the action, we’re utilizing the Tapo solar cam—a user-friendly, wireless camera that’s easy to mount. This camera is perfect for winter, needing just 45 minutes of sunlight for all-day power. With a rechargeable battery lasting up to 180 days, you can rest assured our property will stay secure. Plus, the Tapo solar cam is budget-friendly, priced at only $ 60.
As we set up the camera, Josh gives it a test run. Spoiler alert: it gave him a bit of a scare!
A Day Out
After our camera was ready, we ventured to a local shopping area for Small Business Saturday! As small business owners ourselves, we understand the importance of supporting local shops. It was my first time vlogging in public for a while, and it felt a bit awkward, but we persevered (with a little help from some delicious barbecue).
To my surprise, while enjoying ice cream, I met a viewer who recognized us, making the day all the more special. What a beautiful way to celebrate community and connect with our supporters!
Exciting Business Updates
Returning home, I’m thrilled to share that we’ve relaunched our brand, Two Halves! We're already experiencing incredible success with our product drops, selling out in record time. I’m passionate about designing workwear jackets and other apparel that resonates with our customers.
While I’m working on feminine options suitable for my petite frame, Josh is busy preparing a new jacket sample. It’s all about creating pieces that feel special and well-crafted!
Holiday Preparations and Festivities
As Christmas approaches, we’re embracing the joy of the season while preparing for our family traditions. Sadly, illness hit our household recently, but we’re managing to keep spirits up as we start to make our holiday meals. Dinner tonight features a perfectly cooked New York strip steak and filet mignon, and I can’t wait to share our celebratory moments over a cozy family meal!
While dinner is cooking, we also dive into a baking adventure, making Christmas cookies—albeit with Halloween cookie cutters! Everyone pitches in, and even if our sprinkle distribution was a bit chaotic, laughter fills the kitchen.
